Product Description
The BR 2.0LR engine is the newest in the Buschur Racing line of engines. The
new long rod (LR) engine was designed to use the lightest piston possible
combined with the longest rod. This higher rod ratio allows for even higher RPM
than a standard 2 liter build, less side loading of the piston and decreased
chances of cracking the 4g63 cylinders at high RPM/high cylinder pressures
associated with record setting horsepower levels.
The Buschur Racing 2.0LR shortblock for the Mitsubishi Evolution 8/9 is THE
real deal! This is our top of the line offering in shortblocks.
The components that are used in this kit are among the top engine internal
suppliers in the automotive industry who has worked closely with Buschur Racing
in developing the parts to our specific needs.
What is included in the shortblock? With the Buschur Racing 2.0L shortblock
you get the shortblock with the entire rotating assembly installed.
You will receive:
- Bearings (Rod, Main and Thrust)
- Balanced, turned & polished Crank shaft
- Buschur Racing Balance Shaft Eliminator kit
- ARP Fasteners *does not include head studs)
- BR Spec Steel Connecting Rods
- BR Spec JE Tough Skirt Coated Forged Pistons
Prior to assembly each engine is gone over thoroughly before we progress
further into assembly here at Buschur Racing in order to avoid any and all
situations that a customer may have.
Along with this engine we also recommend a complete engine gasket kit, new
headstuds and all brand new belts & tensioners.
If you have had an engine failure Buschur Racing HIGHLY recommends a brand
new oil cooler be purchased at the time of the engine rebuild. Failure to do so
can have catastrophic consequences.
